Upstream Petroleum Services
EnvApps has a solid track record in the upstream petroleum services market. Prior to becoming environmental consultants, principals and staff worked for many years in the petroleum field, including refinery design services and oil and gas exploration. Our current associates include managers with 40+ years of oilfield exploration, production, and operations experience in California, Alaska, and other locales worldwide.
In the last 20 years, many of the oil leases in Southern California have been developed for industrial, commercial, and even residential uses due to the upsurge in property values. EnvApps has provided the necessary environmental services to property owners and developers including site and health risk assessments, soil vapor surveys, vapor intrusion assessments, remediation, regulatory compliance, and lease closure. EnvApps and it’s associates can also provide well abandonment and site plan review services in accordance with California Division of Oil, Gas, and Geothermal Resources requirements.
Example Projects:
Mass Grading of Oil Lease - Monitored mass grading activities for air quality compliance and exposures of hydrocarbon impacted soils during development of a 270-acre oil lease.
Excavation & Land Treatment of Soil on Oil Lease - Oversaw excavation and on-site treatment of approximately 100,000 cubic yards of soils impacted by crude oil, drilling muds, and condensate on a large oil lease; services included the construction, management, operations, regulatory compliance, and closure of numerous land treatment units.
Oil Well Development for Residential Use - Managed excavation, cleanup, and closure of numerous residential lots in existing, built-out developments. The properties had been impacted by production wells, tank farms, and drilling sumps, and were developed for residential use.
Oil Lease Closure - Compliance services and summary reporting to obtain closure of a 350-acre oil lease, with extensive and fragmented environmental projects performed by numerous consultants dating back 30 years. The compliance services included installation and monitoring of a 7-well, 265-foot deep groundwater monitoring network. |
